A study on spatial dimensions and material properties through structural experimentation: linear, plane, and volume construction.

Breaking the Borders: linear construction
Breaking the Borders: linear construction

Inspired by the dimensional ambiguity of a Klein bottle, modular square units of metal safety pins and luminous tubing form a self-repeating curved surface that blurs the distinction between inside and outside.

Form & Space

Inspired by breaking waves, each foam-board layer was cut by hand with 2 mm variations. Blue lighting and reflective material suggest the moment when light passes through a wave.

Form & Space

Inspired by a bird taking flight, I built a wire armature at 1.2 times the size of my own hand, layered paper clay over it, and finished it with a silver spray gradient from the wrist.
