A multimodal interface conveying plant states through motion and light. Instead of text or numerical alerts, dual-servo leaf motion and RGB LED lighting give non-verbal feedback, reinterpreting plant care as an empathetic interaction between people and plants.
Smart planters usually communicate soil moisture and light through numbers or notifications, which can cause notification fatigue. I established the UX scenario guidelines, developed the prototyping mechanism and materials, and programmed the Arduino-based multimodal scenario mapping.
Nylon tension wires connected to servo motors create a tendon-driven mechanism that produces soft, organic movements such as trembling, bending, and swaying.
